

During the pre-release event of Youth, Karunaas recalled the time when he approached music composer GV Prakash Kumar for the film. The upcoming romantic comedy, is directed by Karunaas' son, Ken, in his debut.
"I haven't asked for any favours from anyone in my life. But when he (Ken) decided to venture into acting, in a love songs which needed that kind of music, I went and met GV Prakash at a film's set. I told him, 'My son is making a movie, and I would like for you to compose the film's music.' But he never asked me, how much will you pay me. But I told him, 'I know how much you earn these days, but I won't be able to match your salary. I will try to pay you how much ever I can,'" said Karunaas.
The actor added, "He told me, I don't want you to pay me anything. For you and Ken I will do this for free.'" Karunaas mentioned that he will always be thankful for this gesture.
