Chinmayi Sripaada has lent her voice to some songs in films starring Rashmika Mandanna, notably 'Yenti Yenti' in Geetha Govindam, 'O Kalala Kathala' in Dear Comrade, and 'Em Jaruguthondhi' in The Girlfriend. Recently, Chinmayi gave her opinion of Rashmika as an actor and talked about the personal bond she shares with her.
Speaking to The Cue Studio recently, Chinmayi said, "Rashmika is one of the finest performers in this country. Genuinely such a hard worker, and I have seen everything she has been doing in the past few years ever since she signed The Girlfriend."
For the uninitiated, Rashmika Mandanna plays the lead role in The Girlfriend, directed by Chinmayi's filmmaker husband Rahul Ravindran. Referring to The Girlfriend, the singer said, "After it came out also, it was huge watching her, watching the reactions to it."
Chinmayi also shared an interesting fact about the bond that Rashmika shares with her and Rahul. "Though the age difference is not much, for some reason, Rahul is like a father figure to Rashmika. So I am now her mother of sorts." Adding that she is "very happy to have a daughter" such as Rashmika, Chinmayi said that The Girlfriend star is "such a sweet child" and wished her and Vijay Deverakonda best of luck on their recent marriage.
While Chinmayi is mostly known for her work as a singer, it is worth noting that she has also served as a voice actor to many artists, notably Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Mrunal Thakur, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Trisha. However, she is yet to dub for Rashmika. It would be interesting to see how that might pan out if it all it materialises, especially now that the singer has talked about her personal connection with the actor.
