Thaai Kizhavi box office day 9: The comedy drama, Thaai Kizhavi, has crossed Rs 30 crores in collections at the Indian box office, after 9 days in theatres. The film, directed by debutant Sivakumar Murugesan, is produced by Sivakarthikeyan under his namesake banner, and stars Radikaa Sarathkumar in the lead.
According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 4.6 crores on the nineth day of its theatrical run. This continues the trend of the film's rise in its collections after seeing a sharp rise on its second friday.
Thaai Kizhavi opened by collecting Rs 2.65 crores, and went on to collect Rs 11.15 crores in its opening weekend. It performed consistently throughout the week.
The film follows the story of a family who scrambles to find a hidden treasure after the matriarch gets afflicted by an illness. Thaai Kizhavi also stars Singam Puli, Arul Doss, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, Ilavarasu, George Maryan, Muthukumar, Raichal Rabecca, among others.
Sivakarthikeyan, who has produced the film under his namesake banner, is set to collaborate with director Sivakumar again for Seyon, which will be backed by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International.
