In the newly unveiled teaser of Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan, Parithabangal-fame Sudhakar motivates Jiiva to consider a career in politics, pointing to the journey of CM Vijay. The teaser for the film, which marks Jiiva's reunion with M Rajesh 16 years after Siva Manasula Sakthi, was unveiled on Sunday.
Jiiva and Sudhakar seem to crash a wedding in an inebriated state. Sudhakar references Vijay's Youth film, where he stops the female lead's wedding to another man in the climax and marries her and says that the man who crashed a wedding has become the CM today. He then motivates Jiiva to make a political entry, following which the two create a ruckus at the marriage function. The teaser ended with a birthday wish for the actor-turned-chief minister.
Also referred to as JIO, the film also stars Ivana, Parithabangal Sudhakar, Rethika Srinivas, Abdool Lee, Raj Ayyappa, Bagavathi Perumal, and Hasini Pavithra, among others. The makers of JIO are yet to reveal the specifics of its story. However, its recently released glimpse video teases a storyline in which Jiiva's character undergoes a transformation because of the impact of his love life.
The makers planned to bring Siva Manasula Sakthi back to theatres again this summer, followed by the release of Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan. The film also marks the director-actor's reunion with the film's composer, Yuvan Shankar Raja. However, its release has been delayed a little bit. Meanwhile, Jiiva lost his father RB Choudhary, a renowned producer who founded Super Good Films, in a tragic accident.
The film's technical team includes composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, editor Ashish Joseph, and cinematographer M Sukumar. Production on the film has been wrapped. It is produced by Dato Abdul Malik under the Malik Streams Corporation banner. A release date is yet to be announced.
