On Sarath Kumar's birthday, the actor has been announced to star in a new film which will be backed by PL Thenapppan, who has previously served as a co-producer on Rajinikanth's Padayappa (1999). Tentatively titled SSS171, the upcoming film will release on November 15.
SSS171 will be director Rahul Chakravarthy in his feature debut directorial venture. Major Vijay Bhargavan is serving as a writer on the upcoming film. Anup Menon is also producing the upcoming film under his Presidential Movies International banner along with Thenappan who is producing under his Shree Rajalakshmi Films banner.
The crew of SSS171 includes music composer Ranjin Raj, director of photography Satheesh Kurup, editor Richard Kevin A, art director Arun Venjaramoodu, and action choreographer Kalai Kingson.
He was also announced to collaborate with Kingston (2025) director Kamal Prakash for a new film, which will be backed by Rekhachithram (2025).
