Arjun Das-Anna Ben's latest heist comedy drama Con City has been steadily bringing audiences to theatres and has now received appreciation from filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The noted director took his time out to catch his Kaithi star's film, directed by debutant Harish Durairaj and was all praise for it.

The Rasavathi actor posted on his X handle on how Lokesh loved watching the movie. "He’s so happy that family audiences are coming to theatres to watch my film," he wrote, calling him his "brother, mentor and family".

"But the best part was hearing him say that I made him proud. What more could I possibly ask for? From being the man who gave me my first break to saying these words today, this moment means everything to me," he shared, expressing his gratitude to Lokesh. He concluded his note by saying that the film is dedicated to him and was possible because of him.

For the unversed, Arjun Das played the menacing antagonist Anbu in Lokesh's critically acclaimed thriller Kaithi (2019). It was his breakout role. He reprised his role in Vikram (2022) and played a prominent supporting character in Master (2021).

Besides Arjun Das and Anna Ben, Con City also stars Yogi Babu, Vadivukkarasi, Akhilan, Nanda Gopal, VTV Ganesh, Dheepa Ramanujam, Radha Ravi, Arul Doss, Shaji Chen, Thambi Ramaiah, Ramesh Thilak, Baradwaj Rangan, Imman Annachi, Madan Dakshinamoorthy, Ponvannan, Ragu Esaki, Sathanand and others. The film has Arjun Das leading a motley crew, including Yogi Babu, Anna Ben, and Vadivukkarasi's characters, on a con mission for money.

On the technical team, Con City has music by Sean Roldan, cinematography by Aravind Viswanathan, and editing by Arulmoses A.
