Subtly dismissing rumours on a possible strain between himself and his father Vijay, the current Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, a new viral video has emerged where Jason Sanjay was seen speaking fondly about his father and reminiscing his childhood memories with him.
In a new video, Jason Sanjay was seen talking to a kid about Vijay about an incident in his childhood when his father picked him up from school. He recalls being reminded about it by his father when he went to meet him on the sets of a film. The man behind the camera then recounted the full story. A die-hard Vijay fan, he had wanted to see the actor so badly that he picked up a young Jason from school and carried him on his shoulders. Frightened by the unexpected situation, Jason believed he was being kidnapped and struggled to get away. When Vijay's car finally arrived, the man placed Jason safely in the backseat before catching a glimpse of the star
The video has been doing the rounds on social media, with many appreciating him for the warmth and affection with which he spoke about his father. The video has surfaced amid persistent speculation about an alleged strain in the relationship between Jason Sanjay and his father, CM Vijay, especially in the wake of his mother Sankgeetha filing for divorce from Vijay. Around the same time, unconfirmed reports about Jason unfollowing his father and removing his initial V while adopting his mother's S initial was also circulating on social media. The new video has seemingly put the father-son rift buzz to rest.
On the work front, Jason Sanjay is awaiting the release of his directorial debut Sigma, starring Sundeep Kishan in the lead. The ensemble cast of Sigma includes Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Sampath Raj, Kiran Konda, and Magalakshmi Sudharsanan, along with several cameo appearances.
According to the makers, it is a "high-stakes heist" film, offering a combination of action, humour, heist, and treasure-hunt elements. The film, which was shot in locations like Chennai, Thalakona, Thailand, and Salem, is slated to release in theatres on July 31.
