Actor Aishwarya Rajesh is known for her work in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi cinema. While the actor has generally been sharing pleasant experiences about her profession, she recently shared a shocking encounter with a photographer.
Speaking to Nikhil Vijayendra Simha, Aishwarya said that a photographer once asked her to expose herself in front of him. "I was very young. I had gone with my brother. The photographer asked him to sit outside, took me inside, gave me lingerie to wear, and said, 'I want to see your body.'"
The actor revealed that the experience left her frazzled and not knowing how to react, because she was so young at the time. "At that age, we do not have enough knowledge of how the industry works. I thought maybe that is how things work here. I was almost convinced. If he had spoken for five more minutes, I would have gone ahead with it, but I felt something fishy about it," she said. The actor revealed that her suspicion of the photographer's demand made her walk out of the room by saying that she needed her brother's permission. "I wonder how many girls he has done this with. I never told this incident to my brother," Aishwarya Rajesh disclosed.
The actor also talked about an incident where a director scolded her in a way that disrespected her. Recalling the incident, she said that she was late by a few minutes on set when the filmmaker shouted at her in front of junior artists. "Scolding was not the problem, but he started comparing me with other actresses. Even if I did a mistake, one should not scold publicly, right?" the actor said.
Aishwarya did not mention the names of the photographer or the director during the conversation.
The actor's upcoming films include Oh..! Sukumari with director Bharat Darshan.
