Jiiva's latest comedy drama Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimayil is continuing its consistent performance at the box office. With praise for its screenplay and entertaining comedic stretches, the film has emerged as a Pongal favourite for audiences. After registering Rs 1.5 crore on its first day, the Nithish Sahadev-directorial saw a 93.33 per cent jump in revenue to Rs 2.9 crore on day 2. Similarly, Day 3 also witnessed an 89.66 per cent increase to Rs 5.5 crore, with its first Sunday minting almost the same amount. Since Monday, TTT has been seeing a drop in revenue, with the festive excitement dwindling down and viewers heading back to work. However, despite the dip, the film has been consistently earning over Rs 1 crore each day. It's current India-wide total stands at 18.77 crore, a positive and an encouraging number for the makers who have created a small-budget film with many lesser-known names in its supporting cast.

An excerpt from our CE review says, "Thanks to the 115-minute runtime, the film doesn't hang on to anything for long and no misstep is overstayed. This tight runtime could have turned a disadvantage if not for neat writing that keeps track of the number of characters introduced, most of whom were also in prime form. Be it Benny, the one side lover, the Nanji gang, and even Arnold - the Shi Tzu, each of these characters have their own utility and have at least one scene each in which they chew the scenery."
