Actor Jiiva-Pa Vijay's Aghathiyaa, which released in theatres on February 28, has got an OTT release date on Monday.
Accordingly, streaming platform Sun NXT announced that the film will be premiering on the platform on March 28.
The film, upon release, opened mostly to mixed to negative reviews. An excerpt from the CE review of the film reads, "Ideally, anyone witnessing a supernatural presence would be overwhelmed and may even consider sprinting for their life. But Aghathiyan? His reaction to his lover being possessed is somehow scarier than the possession itself. Instead of the usual screaming and running, he calmly decides to take on the spirits, as if he's just dealing with a minor inconvenience. When Veena, his childhood love, rightfully questions his choice to stay back and confront the ghosts, he casually drops the bomb that his mother has cancer and he thinks the cure might be hidden somewhere in the haunted mansion. With expressions that belong to a bygone era, logic that takes frequent coffee breaks, and a plot that meanders without purpose, Aghathiyaa has plenty of unintentional humour."
The Pa Vijay directorial also starred Edward Sonnenblick, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, and Redin Kingsley, who are also a part of the upcoming film's cast. Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International and Aneesh Arjun Dev's Wam India are the producers of Aghathiyaa.
Aghathiyaa's technical crew comprises music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematographer Dipak Kumar Padhy, editor San Lokesh, stunt choreographer K Ganesh, and dance choreographer Sridhar.
