

Shanthnu is a violent angry man while Anjali Nair is the rain to his storm cloud in their upcoming film Magenta. The first teaser, unveiled by the makers show the duo having a coincidental meeting, but sparks don't fly immediately. She comes from trauma and he seems to be have issues of alcoholism and aggression. At one point, a character says, "This world calls people like you good, but it never lets them stay good." However, the two characters are looking at uniting despite all the odds thrown at them. The romantic drama film is helmed by Bharath Mohan, who previously made Igloo and Ippadikku Kadhal.
In an earlier statement, the makers said the film would be a feel-good entertainer based on the plotline: "She’s sunrise, he’s dusk—never meant to meet. Yet Universe stitched their shadows on the same street."
The film also stars Archana Ravichandran, RJ Ananthi, Bagavathi Perumal, Badava Gopi, Sharath Ravi and Soundarya Priyan in supporting roles.
The film is produced by Brand Blitz Entertainment's Dr JP Leelaram, Raju K, Saravanan B, and Rekha L. On the technical front, it has cinematographer Ballu, composer Dharan Kumar, and editor Pavithran K Kotagiri. A release date for Magenta is yet to be announced.
Shanthnu was last seen as Kumar in filmmaker Unni Sivalingam's sports drama Balti, also featuring Shane Nigam and Preethi Asrani. Shanthnu Bhagyaraj's upcoming projects also include The Madras Mystery: Fall of a Superstar, starring Nazriya Nazim in the lead role.
