Earlier, we reported about Shanthnu Bhagyaraj starring in a film titled Magenta, written and directed by Bharath Mohan and also featuring actor Anjali Nair. Earlier today, the film's makers dropped a poster giving a first look at the characters in it. The poster features Anjali's character driving a car, with Shanthnu sitting next to her as he smokes a cigarette. "First 'shade' revealed. Behind this colour lies a truth she never wanted to face," reads the caption for the post. The poster and the accompanying caption hint at characters with multiple shades.
The film is produced by Brand Blitz Entertainment's Dr JP Leelaram, Raju K, Saravanan B, and Rekha L. On the technical front, it has cinematographer Ballu, composer Dharan Kumar, and editor Pavithran K. Kotagiri and Chennai are part of the film's locations.
In Tamil, Shanthnu was last seen in director S Jayakumar's cricket-based film Blue Star, opposite Ashok Selvan. Shanthnu won Best Actor at Australian Tamil International Film Festival for his performance in the sports drama. The actor was most recently seen as Kumar in filmmaker Unni Sivalingam's sports drama Balti, also featuring Shane Nigam and Preethi Asrani. Shanthnu Bhagyaraj's upcoming projects also include The Madras Mystery: Fall of a Superstar, starring Nazriya Nazim in the lead role.
Coming back to Magenta, the film's teaser is set for a release soon.
