Karthi spoke about Vijay's Jana Nayagan and the delays the film faced, at an event for Vaa Vaathiyaar. Like Jana Nayagan, Vaa Vaathiyaar too faced delay for its release, but for different reasons.
"When we are at house and are deep in thought about something that has made us feel down, our father will say, 'Everything is for good.' We didn't realise when he says it, but now I do. Like that, even if Vijay sir's Jana Nayagan is delayed, I believe it will be released at the right moment," said the actor.
Vaa Vaathiyaar was initially set to release on December 5, 2025, and was postponed pending a court case filed against the producers. After it was set to release on December 12, 2025, the film was delayed once again, after a judge's order directing the producer to pay all his dues. The producers finally confirmed that the film would release on January 14.
Meanwhile, Jana Nayagan's release is still held back, due to the producers appeal at Supreme Court for a certification for the film. The next hearing is scheduled January 15.
