The yet-to-be-titled film starring Ashok Selvan and Nimisha Sajayan is eyeing a release towards the end of 2026. Produced by Million Dollar Studios and Vels Film International, the film is directed by debutant Manikandan Anandan.
Speaking about the film, producer Yuvaraj Ganesan of Million Dollar Studios revealed to Cinema Vikatan that they have been working on its script for nearly two years. “The journey of the film has been quite long. We have been working on the script for almost two years,” he said, adding that the team consciously wanted to make something different from the kind of films produced by their company so far.
The film has already been wrapped and is currently awaiting a suitable release date. The makers are looking at a window between October and December, depending on the availability of dates. “It is a very interesting film. We actually wanted to make something that was slightly different from the kind of films that have come from our company,” he said, adding that the film has come out well.
Manikandan Anandan is making his directorial debut with the film, which marks the 24th film in Ashok Selvan’s career. While details about the plot and the rest of the cast are yet to be revealed, an earlier glimpse featuring Nimisha and Ashok suggested that romance could be central to the film.
The technical crew includes composer Dhibu Ninan Thomas, cinematographer Pushparaj Santhosh and editor Barath Vikraman. The latter reunites with Million Dollar Studios after working with the production house on Good Night, Lover and Tourist Family.
Nimisha Sajayan was last seen in DNA alongside Atharvaa. She also has the upcoming Netflix series Legacy, which stars R Madhavan in an important role. On the film front, she has Enna Vilai with Karunaas gearing up for release. Ashok Selvan, on the other hand, has Anbil Avan with Preity Mukhundhan, also in the pipeline.
