Bigg Boss The Common Man premiered on JioHotstar on August 16. Former Bigg Boss Tamil contestant Maya S Krishnan is hosting the series, with Aari Arjunan, Oviyah, and Raju Jeyamohan, all former Bigg Boss Tamil contestants, serving as judges.
Bigg Boss Tamil is based on the Dutch series, Big Brother, and follows a random group of people staying in a single house together for 100 days. The participants have to perform tasks and sustain in the house, with eliminations based on voting among participants.
