Previously, we reported that ahead of Bigg Boss Tamil season 10, the team is all set to conduct a reality game show titled Bigg Boss The Common Man to bring in one commoner as a contestant for the upcoming season. On Thursday, the team unveiled a glimpse of what to expect from the reality show.
As reported earlier, Maya S Krishnan is the host of the game show, while Oviya, Aari Arujunan and Raju Jeyamohan are the judges. While Aari was the title winner of season 4, Raju took home the trophy for season 5. Oviya was a part of the very first season of Bigg Boss Tamil. Although she quit the show on Day 42, owing to ill mental health, the contestant gained massive traction and following for her bold gameplay inside the house.
The new glimpse shows us the contestants being split into two teams, red and blue. The teams are made to fight with each other in competitions, similar to tasks we see inside the Bigg Boss house. Further, we also see two placards, 'qualified' and 'on hold', which seem to be ones determining the progress of contestants.
Set to be launched on August 16, Bigg Boss The Common Man is scheduled to be telecast on all seven days of the week. On Vijay Television, the show can be watched at 10 pm from Monday to Friday and at 5:30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
In order to be admitted into the Bigg Boss Tamil house, participants have to complete a number of challenges, assessments, and screening rounds. The Telugu spin-off Bigg Boss Agnipariksha, which once functioned as a digital pre-show for choosing non-celebrity competitors in the Telugu version of the franchise, is said to have acted as the model for the format.
Vijay Sethupathi is, meanwhile, set to return as the host of Bigg Boss season 10, which is expected to start in October. The previous season saw wildcard contestant Divya Ganesh bagging the trophy.
