The makers of Karuppu have revealed that Trisha will play the role of Preethi, a lawyer. The actor will reunite with Suriya, who headlines the film whcih is set to release on May 14.
In Karuppu, which is written and directed by RJ Balaji, Suriya plays Saravanan, a lawyer. Reportedly, the film will feature Saravanan as a man who is worshipped like a deity by the people he provides aid to.
The cast of the film includes Natty Natraj, Mansoor Ali Khan, Swasika, Sshivadha, Anagha Maya Ravi, and Supreeth Reddy, among others.
Karuppu will have music composed by Sai Abhyankkar, in his sophomore Tamil project. Recently, the fourth single from the film, 'Karuppa Kooda Va', was released.
The crew of the film includes cinematographer GK Vishnu, editor R Kalaivanan, production designer Arun Venjaramoodu, and stunt choreographers Anbariv and Vikram Mor.
Karuppu is produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabu under their Dream Warrior Pictures banner. Aravendaraj Baskaran is serving as the executive producer on the film.
