Rajinikanth returned from Hyderabad to Chennai on Wednesday and addressed the press, having returned from the Jailer 2 shoot. The actor was questioned on a number of topics, including Jailer 2, KHxRK, and Jana Nayagan.
Revealing when his film with Kamal Haasan is set to go on floors, Rajinikanth said, "The shooting of the film is expected to begin in August." Further, when asked about Nelson's Jailer sequel, he continued, "There are still two more days of shooting left for Jailer 2. The release date of the film will be decided by the production company."
When asked about Vijay's Jana Nayagan and the censorship issue, he said, “I do not wish to comment.” Then, he was asked about the young fanbase of some actors who end up injuring themselves after following their star on the road.
On this, he added, "Youngsters must be very careful. If they get hurt, it is they themselves who will suffer. At the age of studying, one must focus only on studies. If that time is missed, they may have to struggle throughout their lives. Their thoughts and actions should be centred only on education.”
He further advised that health and well-being should come first. His advice to youngsters was to avoid getting addicted to alcohol or drugs like ganja, as it can ruin their lives. “It will not only affect you but also turn the lives of your parents and loved ones into misery.” He concluded by saying that youngsters should not even go near friends who have such harmful habits.
Rajinikanth is currently working on Jailer 2 and will next commence work on his next, tentatively titled Thalaivar 173 and helmed by Cibi Chakravarthy. He reunites with Nelson for his collaboration with Kamal Haasan, which is backed by Red Giant Movies.
