Actor Sai Pallavi has responded to a wave of AI-generated swimsuit images circulating online after her sister, Pooja Kannan, shared pictures from their recent beach getaway.
To clear the air, she uploaded a video on Instagram featuring candid clips from the trip. The video shows her spending time with Pooja and close friends by the sea, enjoying activities like dolphin-spotting, water sports, jewellery-making, and even getting matching tattoos. Alongside these real moments, she also shared glimpses of the outfits that had been digitally altered. Her caption read: “PS: The above images are real and aren’t AI generated.”
Earlier, Pooja had shared a set of photos from the same holiday, most of them featuring her smiling at the beach while Sai Pallavi clicked her pictures. A few selfies of the sisters together were also included, with some images showing Sai dressed in a wetsuit. However, once the AI-generated swimsuit versions began spreading online, trolls targeted the actor—prompting her fans to defend her right to wear what she chooses.
On the work front, Sai Pallavi was last seen opposite Naga Chaitanya in Thandel. She will soon be seen as Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, and is also part of director Sunil Pandey’s upcoming project alongside Junaid Khan. Meanwhile, Pooja Kannan, who made her acting debut with Chithirai Sevvaanam(2021), has not announced her next film.
Sai Pallavi recently bagged the Kalaimamani Award for the year 2021. The Tamil Nadu government made the announcement on Wednesday. She won alongside actor-director SJ Suryah and director Lingusamy, among others.
