Sai Pallavi, who recently wowed audiences with her performance in Amaran, is now preparing for her next major project, the mythological epic Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. She stars as Sita alongside Bollywood's Ranbir Kapoor, with the film set to release in two parts, the first arriving during Diwali 2026.
Amid the excitement surrounding the film, rumours emerged claiming that Sai Pallavi had turned vegetarian to immerse herself in her role as Sita. These claims suggested that she travelled with a personal team of vegetarian cooks, sparking widespread discussion. However, Sai Pallavi took to X (formerly Twitter) to address these allegations directly.
In a strongly worded statement, Sai Pallavi expressed her frustration with what she called "baseless rumours" and "fabricated lies." She wrote, "Most of the times, Almost every-time, I choose to stay silent whenever I see baseless rumours/ fabricated lies/ incorrect statements being spread with or without motives(God knows) but it’s high-time that I react as it keeps happening consistently and doesn’t seem to cease; especially around the time of my films’ releases/ announcements/ cherish-able moments of my career! Next time I see any “reputed” page or media/ individual carrying a cooked up crappy story in the name of news or gossip then you will hear from me legally! Period!" She further warned media outlets against spreading unverified stories, stating she would pursue legal action if the behaviour continued.
The actor clarified that she has always been vegetarian, motivated by her belief in non-violence toward living beings.
Ramayana boasts an ensemble cast, including Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol, and Kannada superstar Yash. Meanwhile, Sai Pallavi, who was last seen in Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran, also has Thandel in the pipeline.
