Ramya Krishnan recently talked about collaborating with Kamal Haasan in the 2002 comedy Panchatanthiram. The actor is known for her imposing characters in films, such as Neelambari opposite Rajinikanth in Padayappa, but she revealed in a recent Cinema Vikatan interview that she found it challenging to work with Kamal in the 2002 film. "Even big actors will shiver at the thought of acting opposite Kamal sir, so imagine my situation," said the actor. Ramya then explained the specific scene that she found challenging to perform with Kamal, the one where he introduces her sex worker character to Nagesh's character. As Nagesh and the other characters walk back after the conversation, Ramya's character pushes Kamal's character up against the wall in an intimate manner. "Kamal sir showed me how to do it step by step, and he did it very easily acting like a female, but I could not do it." The actor revealed that she found it challenging to walk in the way Maggie does in the film, push Kamal's character against the wall and say her dialogue all at the same time.
Ramya Krishnan turned 55 the other day. The actor is expected to reprise her role from Jailer in the Rajinikanth-Nelson film's upcoming sequel. Ramya Krishnan's upcoming films also include Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde’s next film, tentatively titled DQ 41.
