Ramya Krishnan joins Dulquer Salmaan-Pooja Hegde’s DQ 41

Veteran actor Ramya Krishnan has been confirmed as part of the cast of DQ 41, the upcoming Telugu film starring Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. The announcement was made on Monday as Ramya celebrated her birthday. Welcoming her to the team, the production banner SLV Cinemas wrote on social media, "Thrilled to announce that she would be playing a pivotal role in this beautiful tale.”

DQ 41 is written and directed by debutant Ravi Nelakuditi. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music, with cinematography by Anay Om Goswamy and production design by Avinash Kolla. The makers are planning a multilingual release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada.

Ramya Krishnan, who has had a prolific career across various languages, was last seen in the 2024 Telugu release Purushothamudu. She will also reprise her role opposite Rajinikanth in Nelson's Jailer 2, currently in production.

DQ 41 follows the success of Dulquer's Lucky Baskhar and comes alongside his other projects, including Pavan Sadineni’s Aakasamlo Oka Tara, Selvamani Selvaraj’s Tamil period drama Kaantha, and the Malayalam film I’m Game with RDX director Nahas Hidhayath.
