Madharaasi, Sivakarthikeyan's latest film with director AR Murugadoss is continuing to keep up its steady box office presence. After minting Rs 13.65 crore on its first day and Rs 12.1 crore in the second, the action entertainer had earned over Rs 10.85 crore on the first Sunday, taking its domestic total to over Rs 35 crore.

At the end of the first two days, its worldwide total has crossed Rs 50 crore. Considering Sunday's domestic and overseas total, the film's numbers are expected to cross Rs 65 crore, a promising beginning for the film to build a solid box office in its run. At this rate, Madharaasi could easily surpass the Rs 100 crore mark in its upcoming days given the positive reviews from audiences and critics.

Madharaasi registered an overall Tamil occupancy of 56.03% on Sunday, with afternoon and evening shows surpassing 60% occupancy. Chennai emerged as the primary contributor, accounting for over 74% of the total occupancy. Notably, the film saw around 44% occupancy in the Delhi-NCR region.

However, Madharaasi has underperformed in comparison to Sivakarthikeyan’s 2024 blockbuster Amaran, which amassed Rs 61.55 crore domestically and Rs 104.50 crore globally within its first three days. It remains to be seen how the film will fare in the upcoming days.
