Actor Ajmal Amir is facing more serious sexual accusations, following the emergence of a recent video where he allegedly misbehaved with a woman. Ajmal tried to diffuse the situation by appearing in video and claiming that it is an AI-generated or fabricated piece of news to tarnish his image. However, the other day, actor Narvini Dery, known for films such as Uyirvarai Iniththaai and Sinamkol as well as her music videos, claimed that Ajmal also misbehaved with her. Recounting her experience with Trend Toxi, Narvini said that while she is not aware of the latest controversy surrounding Ajmal, she is perhaps the first actor to come out against him. "Maybe I started the run, I do not know. I had given an interview to a friend on Instagram Live where I only spoke about Ajmal first," Narvini said.
The actor revealed that she first saw Ajmal in 2018 while on the ground floor of the Express Avenue mall in Chennai with an assistant director friend and was not really aware of his work. She claimed that he followed her to an upper floor of the mall, approached her and talked to her about an audition for a film that he was doing at the time. "We shared each other's WhatsApp number. Then, he asked me to send my pictures to him and left. My friend told me, 'He is a known face. There is no chance for anything untoward to happen.'"
Narvini then shared her pictures with Ajmal over WhatsApp, a screenshot of which she presented during the interview. Subsequently, she claimed that Ajmal arranged a last-minute meeting at a hotel between her and the 'team' behind the film, despite her informing him that she was flying to Denmark later that night. However, according to Narvini, when she visited Ajmal's hotel, he asked her over to her room and when she went there, he informed her that his team left moments ago for coffee. "I felt something really wrong at that time. He offered me some food, but I felt fishy about it, thinking, 'What if he has added something in it' and I did not know whether he was a good man or a bad man."
Narvini added that her experience working as a psychiatry officer helped her handle the situation. "I have met so many crazy people in my life," she said before revealing that he turned on some music and asked her to dance with him. "He told me, 'I am a very handsome man. Girls like me so much. Let just have some fun.'"
Narvini also said that Ajmal tried to hug her after she told him that she disliked him and made certain comments to him to affect him mentally. Then, she stated that she got out of the room as the room boy rang the bell and Ajmal opened the locked door. "I just ran out. I lucked out and escaped from him. It would not be the case with everyone."
