Actor Vishnu Vishal has been part of many commercially successful films, such as Ratsasan and Gatta Kusthi, to name two. However, the actor said at a recent Aaryan prerelease event that no one from the film industry whom he admires called him and wished him when any of his films became commercially successful. "They call and meet my directors, but I do not get any calls," said Vishnu Vishal. The actor also said that he has watched films and called the main stars in them, whether they are newcomers or experienced artists. He added that film personalities do not even praise him personally for his films on social media but laud the respective directors and even ask them to talk about potential collaborations.

Vishnu Vishal shared that he does not know the reason for this. "One day, I will definitely come to a place where I get that encouragement and respect from people around me," he said before noting that Vishal, Arya and Jiiva supported him at the initial phase of his career for Mundasupatti.

Vishnu Vishal explained his decision to become a producer as well. He said that it takes a year or two for each of his films to complete due to the changes in producers. There have been multiple changes to the producers for his films Gatta Kusthi, Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran, and FIR. "Nine of my films were dropped after Ratsasan. I do not deserve all this. I have that pain and regret, which is why I became a full-fledged producer."

Vishnu attribtued the long gap between his films after Gatta Kusthi and FIR to him deciding to produce his next five films on his own.
