Actor-producer Vishnu Vishal, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming investigation thriller, Aaryan, has revealed why his film, Mohandas, is being stalled.
In an exclusive conversation with CE ahead of Aaryan's release, he explained, "Mohandas was conceptualised when OTT platforms were open to taking up films for direct streaming. However, by the time the movie was completed, streaming platforms had stopped accepting such films."
Vishnu Vishal elaborated on why he sought a direct-to-OTT release, sharing, "Mohandas is a dark film. A first of its kind in my filmography. It really has a grim story where I play the anti-hero. So I wanted Mohandas to be an OTT film."
Produced by Vishnu Vishal's Vishnu Vishal Studioz and directed by debutant Praveen K, Aaryan is penned by the actor's FIR collaborator Manu Anand. The film's technical crew has cinematographer Harish Kannan, music composer Sam CS, and editor San Lokesh.
Aaryan is releasing in theatres on October 31, alongside the Rio Raj starrer Aan Paavam Pollathathu. The Telugu version of the film has been rescheduled for November 7, taking into consideration the releases of Mass Jathara and Baahubali The Epic.
