Raveena Tandon onboards Vijay Antony's Lawyer

We had previously reported that director Joshua Sethuraman's next with Vijay Antony has been titled Lawyer. It has now been announced that senior Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon has joined the cast. The Andaz Apna Apna actor is diving head on with back-to-back Tamil projects after a two-decade-long hiatus.

Recently, Raveena had also onboarded the Suriya 46 cast. Directed by Venky Atluri, she will star along with Mamitha Baiju and Radikaa Sarathkumar. Notably, Raveena was last seen in Kamal Haasan's Aalavandhan (2001).

Lawyer marks Joshua Sethuraman's sophomore directorial after Gentlewoman, released earlier this year. Starring Lijomol Jose and Losliya in lead roles, the film was critically well-received from audience.

Lawyer will be going on floors this June with the updates on the rest of the cast and crew expected to be revealed in the coming days.

Apart from Tamil, Lawyer will also be made in Hindi, Telugu and Kannada. The film is backed by Vijay Antony Film Corporation.

Vijay Antony had three releases last year: Romeo, Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan, and Hitler. He will next be seen in Maargan, slated for a theatrical release on June 27. He has Shakthi Thirumugan, Valli Mayil, Agni Siragugal and Khakhee awaiting release.
