Vijay Antony takes on the role of a high-profile scamster in his upcoming film Shakthi Thirumagan. Described as a neo-political drama, the film marks Vijay Antony's 25th film as an actor and is directed by Arun Prabu Purushothaman of Aruvi fame.
In the two-minute-long teaser, Vijay Antony plays 'Kittu,' an extremist who appears to have orchestrated a massive Rs 6,000 crore scam that has shaken the nation. Described as both a trickster and a gangster, he wields immense power and instills fear in those around him. Much like his persona, his past remains shrouded in mystery.
Vijay Antony is set to star in the lead along with Vaagai Chandrasekhar, Sunil Kriplani, Cell Murugan, Trupthi Ravindra, Kiran, Riya Jithu, Shoba Viswanath, and child actor Master Keshav. Veteran actor Kannan, who is known for his role in Bharathiraja's Kadhal Oviyam, is set to make his comeback in the film.
Vijay Antony produces the film along with Meera Vijay Antony under their banner, Vijay Antony Film Corporation. Antony also composes music for the film. Besides Tamil, Shakthi Thirumagan will be released in Telugu as Bhadrakaali.
After Aruvi and Vaazhl, Arun Prabhu reunites with cinematographer Shelly Callist and editor Raymond Derrick Crasta for Shakthi Thirumagan. A release date for Shakthi Thirumagan is yet to be announced.
