Aarti Ravi: A third person came between my marriage with Ravi Mohan
The war of words continue between actor Ravi Mohan and his wife Aarti Ravi. On Tuesday, Aarti penned a strongly-worded note on her troubled marriage with Ravi Mohan. Aarti said that it will be her last public note about the matter, subsequent to which she will deal with it only in the court.
In the over two-page note, Aarti explains the derailment of her marital life with Ravi and shed light on the latter's allegations against her. She started the note claiming that a third person is responsible for her decision to file divorce papers. Then, she denied being a "controlling wife", adding that if a woman tries to save her family and marriage is one, she does not mind that tag.
Earlier, Ravi Mohan claimed that has had to deal with “physical, mental, emotional, and financial abuse” for a long time during his marital life with Aarti. Disputing Ravi Mohan's claim, Aarti rhetorically asked why he waited "all these years to leave?" and continued "to share a life if the environment was unlivable?" She added, "A man with every resource at his disposal stayed—until he was confronted," alluding to the latter's relationship with the "third person". She emphasised this point, stating, "a six-foot man was somehow held hostage by a 5'2" petite woman. If he stayed, it was by choice, not force."
Recently, Ravi Mohan also claimed that he has been “deliberately kept away” from his children after the separation and came to know about their car accident only through a third party when his signature was needed for an insurance claim. Refuting the claim, Aarti suggested that Ravi Mohan has been an absent father of late and said that their children "feel safe seeing him only in familiar places." She added, "Also their father has not sought visitation or custody to date—despite his claims of being kept away from the children."
Aarti Ravi thanked "the press, social media, and the public for the kindness and empathy" which they have shown towards her. "In moments like these, quiet support speaks volumes—and I truly thank you for it," she said. She ended the note reposing her faith in legal proceedings. "I'm not weak. And I'm not here to plead. I'm here to stand tall—in the eyes of my loved ones, and in solidarity with the millions of voices that have been silenced. And with that, I'll say no more. Because I still believe—in the court of law."
