Playback singer Chinmayi Sripaada is set to make her debut as a guest on Asianet's music competition show, Star Singer Season 10. It will mark her first appearance in a Kerala-based music competition. The show will broadcast every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM, featuring KS Chithra, Vidhu Prathap, and Sithara as returning judges.

"I am really looking forward to it," Chinmayi stated regarding her appearance. "Chithra chechi, Sithara, and Vidhu have told me that contestants on the show sing superbly. I am really looking forward to seeing all the contestants."

Chinmayi’s notable credits in Malayalam cinema include 'Oonjalilaadi Vanna' from Action Hero Biju, 'Omane' from Aadujeevitham, 'Aaromale' from C/O Saira Banu, and 'Maayaathe Ormayil' from Hero.

Recently, Chinmayi garnered significant appreciation for her performance of 'Muththa Mazhai' at the audio launch of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam's film, Thug Life. This rendition not only reminded the audience of her tremendous vocal talent but also drew unwarranted comparisons to Dhee's original version in the film. The song has climbed to the top of YouTube’s charts and earned over 50 million views on the platform.

Chinmayi has been facing a ban from singing in Tamil cinema following her MeToo allegations against lyricist Vairamuthu and expression of solidarity with women who accused actor Radha Ravi, the president of the Dubbing Union, of sexual misconduct. The South Indian Cine, Television Artistes and Dubbing Artistes Union (SICTADAU), also known as the Dubbing Union, cancelled her membership since her act of solidarity, effectively banning her from working in Tamil cinema. Despite the ban, she has been able to circumvent it and sing for a few projects, most notably Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay’s Leo. She also continues to sing in other languages, with recent credits including the Hindi and Telugu versions of 'Muththa Mazhai'.
