With just ten days to go for the release of Sudha Kongara's much-anticipated period drama Parasakthi, starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, the makers have announced that its audio launch will take place on January 3 at Sairam Engineering College in Chennai.
Set in the 1960s, Parasakthi is said to revolve around the anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu. Sivakarthikeyan stars alongside Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela for the first time, with the latter making her Tamil debut and marks the first time Ravi Mohan plays an antagonist. Atharvaa will also be seen playing a key role.
In an earlier interview, Sudha Kongara explained that Parasakthi is not just a political film. "It is also a beautiful story about the bond between two brothers, Sivakarthikeyan and Atharvaa. There is also a strong love angle in the film. Sivakarthikeyan plays a government employee, and Atharvaa plays an engineering student. Both characters have different principles and face conflicts. Sreeleela plays the minister’s daughter, and love plays an important role in the story," she said.
Parasakthi is Sudha Kongara's fourth film after Drohi, Irudhi Suttru, and Soorarai Potru. Sudha has written the film along with Arjun Nadesan, with additional screenplay by Ganeshaa and dialogues by Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy.
The crew of the film includes Ravi K Chandran as the cinematographer, Sathish Surya as the editor, S Annadurai as the art director, and Supreme Sundar as the action choreographer. Aakash Baskaran is producing the film under his Dawn Pictures banner. Dev Ramnath is serving as the creative producer along with MP Senthel and Rhea Kongara as serving as executive producers. Red Giant Movies are distributing the film.
