Arya's next project, which will be his 40th as a lead, was launched on the occasion of the actor's birthday. Arya's production house The Show People will be backing the project, with the actor's wife, Sayyeshaa on board as a producer.
The upcoming project, temporarily titled Arya40, will be directed by Nikhil Muraly, who previously directed the Malayalam film, Pranayavilasam (2023). Starring Arjun Ashokan, Mamitha Baiju, and Arjun Ashokan among others, the film showcased the love stories of two different generations.
GV Prakash Kumar is composing music for the film, continuing the duo's collaboration after Madrasapattinam (2010) and Raja Rani (2013). The composer, through his X handle, wrote, "After Raja Rani doing a love film musical for Arya."
The cast of the film is yet to be revealed. On the technical front Jeeva Sankar is the cinematographer, Binu Napoleon is the editor, AR Mohan is the art director, and Stunt Silva is the stunt choreographer.
Arya will also been seen in Pa Ranjith's upcoming film, Vettuvam. The film will also star VR Dinesh, Sobitha Dhulipala, and Kalaiyarasan, among others. He will also be seen in Ananthan Kadu, which is directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar, and written by Murali Gopy (Lucifer and L2: Empuraan). He will also be seen in Mr X, which will be directed by Manu Anand.
