Vikram Prabhu's latest romantic drama Love Marriage is gearing up for an OTT release soon. The actor took to his X handle to share that the film will stream on Prime Video from August 29.
Directed by Shanmuga Priyan, the film marked the Tamil debut of Sushmitha Bhat, who is known for her appearance in Dominic and the Ladies' Purse, starring Mammootty, helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
Apart from Vikram Prabhu and Sushmitha Bhat, the film also starred Meenakshi Dinesh, Arul Doss, Ramesh Tilak, Muruganandam, Gajaraj, Kodangi Vadivelu, Winner Ramachandran, and Yasar in important roles. It is to be noted that the film was a remake of the Telugu film Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam.
The director of the film Shanmuga Priyan has previously served as an associate director for Anand Shankar on NOTA and Enemy, and as a co-director with Ra Karthik on Nitham Oru Vaanam.
Upon release on June 27, the film was received with mixed and positive reviews from audiences and critics.
Our CE review of the film read, "Love Marriage isn’t a great advertisement for marriage or love or love marriage, but the best part is that it doesn’t try to be one either. Even when making a case for the institution of marriage, the film also manages to say a lot of other things about financial independence and breaking out of the shackles of being a commodity."
On the technical front, Love Marriage had cinematography by Madhan Christopher, editing by Bharath Vikraman, and production design by M Murali.
