Anirudh and Sivakarthikeyan, who have previously collaborated on several hit films, are reuniting once again for AR Murugadoss' highly-anticipated Madharaasi. Just like Sivakarthikeyan, Anirudh too values and cherishes his friendship with the Amaran actor.

Taking to the stage during the audio and trailer launch of the film, Anirudh narrated how they both began their careers together. "When I was working on 3, Marina had just released. His next was Ethir Neechal, and I can proudly say that it was my first blockbuster—and it happened with SK. That’s when our friendship and brotherhood began. It’s been an emotional journey since then."

AR Murugadoss says Sivakarthikeyan holds the 'gun' tightly in Madharaasi: 'He's the reason many dreamers still believe...'

He further said, "Madharaasi is our eighth film together. I feel a bit shy praising him, but he truly deserves every bit of his success. He’s reached this stage because of his pure heart. So many actors come and go, but SK has consistently grown—crossing every milestone: Rs 50 crore, Rs 100 crore, Rs 300 crore and beyond. Every time he wins, I feel like I’ve won too. With Madharaasi, you’ll see a new avatar of SK—this time, in AR Murugadoss sir’s style."

Speaking about his long-standing collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan, Anirudh said, "Since we started around the same time, the bond we share is deeply personal—something words can’t fully express. It’s been 13–14 years since I entered the industry. One day, I might become 'field out', but even then, if SK wins, it will still feel like my own victory."

He also praised director Murugadoss in his speech and expressed his gratitude for giving him his big break in Vijay's Kaththi. "I have worked with Murugadoss in just two films and that too the second film didn't release. At that time, he believed in a 20-year-old young boy and gave the opportunity to score music in Kaththi. That day, I was shocked. We met sir in Green Park hotel. Kaththi and Maan Karate came as a double treat for me. It is because of Murugadoss sir that I am here at this place today. I will always be thankful for that," he said.

Slated to hit theatres on September 5, Madharaasi also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Vikranth and Shabeer Kallarakkal in the lead roles, alongside Prem Kumar, Sanjay and Sachana Namidass. The film will be released with the title Dil Madharaasi in Hindi.
