The golden jubilee of actor Rajinikanth is the biggest talking point in Tamil cinema and beyond, with actors and other film personalities honouring the superstar on his milestone. The latest to wish Rajinikanth as he completes 50 years in cinema is Harish Kalyan. The Parking and Lubber Pandhu star took to his Instagram Stories to express his love and admiration for Rajinikanth, whose latest film Coolie hit the screens today. Sharing a photograph that features him with a ticket for Rajinikanth's Coolie, Harish wrote, “From holding my first ticket as a kid to this one today.. The excitement, the admiration, the Thalaivar fanboy in me has never changed and never will.” He went on to express his gratitude to Rajinikanth for serving as a source of inspiration for “millions across generations.”
Harish is yet to share the screen with Rajinikanth. However, the actor has expressed his love and affection for the superstar on many occasions. For example, in 2020, Harish shared a first-look poster from his film Star on Rajinikanth's birthday where he struck a pose reminiscent of the latter from Thalapathi. At the time, he wrote in a post-script note, addressing Rajinikanth, “As your die hard fan, I am blessed to have lived a few moments from the iconic character that you have portrayed on screen.”
Interestingly, Harish’s second-look and third-look posters for Star had also paid tributes to Kamal Haasan’s character from Sigappu Rojakkal and Shah Rukh Khan’s hero from Swades.
The Elan directorial originally had Harish in the lead before Kavin replaced him.
Additionally, Rajinikanth once appreciated the teaser for Harish Kalyan's Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale, terming its title unique, with the potential to attract a wide audience. Harish has also been seen imitating Rajinikanth during interviews.
