On Monday, the official handle of Aamir Khan Productions shared photos of Aamir Khan hosting a watch party for the cast and crew of Rajinikanth’s Coolie. Nagarjuna Akkineni, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, director Lokesh Kanagaraj, producer Kalanithi Maran, music composer Anirudh Ravichander, and Shruti Haasan are seen watching Sitaare Zameen Par alongside Aamir Khan in his vanity van.
Helmed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par hit theatres on June 20. Although the film opened to mixed reviews, it has become the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025 as well as the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of 2025. Currently, the film is available to stream on YouTube with a pay-per-view model.
Ever since the trailer of the Rajinikanth vehicle, Coolie, dropped on Saturday, the anticipation for the film has been at an all-time high. This watch party seems to have happened on the night of the ‘Coolie Unleashed’ audio and trailer launch event. The production house wrote in the caption, “You say movie night, and your gang pulls up.” Rajinikanth was not present at the gathering.
Interestingly, apart from the cast and crew of Coolie, actor Sivakarthikeyan has also been tagged in the post, fuelling fresh speculations about his involvement in the film. However, the Maaveeran actor had previously reiterated that he only visited the sets of Coolie as it was close to his house. Nonetheless, fans remain hopeful for a surprise cameo.
Rachita Ram, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, Kanna Ravi, Monisha Blessy and Kaali Venkat appear in supporting roles in Coolie, along with a cameo appearance by Pooja Hegde. Apart from Anirudh Ravichander, the technical crew also includes DOP Girish Gangadharan and editor Philomin Raj. The film, backed by Sun Pictures, is all set to hit theatres on August 14.
