Speculations have been rife that Boney Kapoor will team up with Ajith Kumar and director H Vinoth for the third time after Nerkonda Paarvai and the upcoming Valimai. The producer has now confirmed this in a recent interview with The Hindu. The producer said that Vinoth is someone with a clear vision and that it has been a happy journey with him so far.

Valimai, meanwhile, is scheduled to hit screens for Pongal in January 2022. Billed as an action thriller, the film's recently released teaser got a great reception and further heightened the fans' expectations.

Valimai also stars Huma Quereshi, Pugazh, Yogi Babu, and Kartikeya. The film has cinematography by Nirav Shah and music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
