SR Prabhu refutes rumours on change of Sulthan release date

Sulthan, one of the most-anticipated summer releases in Tamil, is gearing up for release on April 2. However, with the State elections being announced on April 6, and rising coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu, it was speculated that the makers might go for a revised release date. Dream Warrior Pictures' SR Prabhu, who is backing the Bakkiyaraj Kannan directorial, took to social media to put to rest all such speculations.

In a tweet, he said, "Many of our friends are asking whether we are releasing Sulthan on 2nd April concerning Covid scenario. So far there is no change in that decision. We are sticking to the date! So please, wear mask, take proper precautions and wait to enjoy the max fun on screen."

Sulthan, which marks Rashmika Mandanna's Tamil debut, also stars Napoleon, Yogi Babu, and KGF-fame Ramachandra Raju in important roles. The film has music by Vivek-Mervin and cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan.

The trailer of Sulthan will be out on Wednesday.
