Music director Deepak Dev returns to Tamil cinema after a decade with Yogi Da

Malayalam music composer Deepak Dev, whose most recent film was the blockbuster Mohanlal-Prithviraj project, Lucifer, will be making his comeback to Tamil cinema with Sai Dhanshika's Yogi Da

This will mark the composer's first Tamil film since the 2008 Prasanna-Kavya Madhavan-starrer Sadhu Miranda. The action film will feature just one song composed by Deepak, who made his film debut with the 2003 Mammootty-Siddique film, Chronic Bachelor, which was remade in Tamil as Engal Anna, starring Vijayakanth and Prabhudheva.

Yogi Da's first schedule was wrapped up recently and the final schedule will go on floors this week. The film will feature ten action sequences under the supervision of stunt choreographer K Ganesh who is known for films such as Siruthai and Vedalam. Directed by debutant Gautham Krishna, Yogi Da also stars Sayaji Shinde, Manobala, and Kabir Duhan Singh, who plays the primary antagonist. Thavasi-fame SK Boopathy is handling the cinematography, while the dialogues are written by Gautham and Himesh Bala.
