The shooting of the Tamil remake of Pink, starring Ajith and Shraddha Srinath, titled Nerkonda Paarvai, has been wrapped up. With post-production in progress, the courtroom drama is set to hit the screens on August 10. The news was announced by Vidya Balan, who stars opposite Ajith in the film.

"Congratulations, Boney Kapoor, on the completion of shoot of your first Tamil film, Nerkonda Paarvai. Glad to be a small part of this special one," she wrote.

Directed by Theeran-fame H Vinoth, Nerkonda Paarvai has Ajith reprising the role played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original, while Shraddha takes on the role made memorable by Taapsee Pannu

Nerkonda Paarvai also stars Vidya Balan, Adhik Ravichandran, Arjun Chidambaram, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang, Aswin Rao, and Sujith Shankar. This film will mark Vidya’s debut in Tamil.

The team had begun shooting in Chennai last December. After filming the portions involving the female leads Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang, the team began shooting crucial scenes involving Ajith and Vidya Balan in Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City.

Ajith will follow up Nerkonda Paarvai with another Boney Kapoor production, which is touted to be an 'out-and-out commercial entertainer'.
