The shoot of Sandakozhi 2, Vishal’s next after the highly successful Irumbu Thirai, was wrapped up on Sunday. The film, co-starring Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead, is helmed by Linguswamy, who also directed the first instalment.
Rajkiran, who played Vishal’s father in 2005’s Sandakozhi, reprises his role in the sequel. The rural action thriller, which marks Vishal’s 25th film in the industry, has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The first single from the film, Sengarattan Paaraiyula, was released yesterday. The Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of Sandakozhi 2 have been bought by Screen Scene, the distributors of Tik Tik Tik and Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu.
Also starring Ganja Karuppu, Ramdoss and Hareesh Peradi in pivotal roles, the film produced by Vishal under his banner, Vishal Film Factory, will be hitting the screens on October 18.
