On Tuesday, Prime Video dropped a teaser and announced the release date of its first original French young adult series, Campus Drivers. The series is set to drop on November 06 on the streaming platform. An adaptation of CS Quill's novels, it stars Carmen Kassovitz and Baptiste Masseline as Lois and Lane, respectively. Rounding out the cast are Madior Fall, Esteban Vial, Felix Nebel, Enzo Lorente, Paolo Luka-Noe, Eloise Rey, Louna Balavoine and Cassandra Cano.
The story follows Lois, who has received an invitation to join a prestigious institution known as Belrose University along with her longtime lover Max. While Lois has everything going for her, Lane leads life on his own terms. The maker of the application Campus Drivers, Lane is as known for the devastating smile he boasts as for a lack of ability to commit. Lois and Lane's paths cross when she shows up at his residence one night, leading to an unanticipated cohabitation. As Prime Video itself describes in the official synopsis, "Two worlds colliding. And an attraction impossible to ignore. But some encounters change everything… even awakening buried wounds. And when love arrives uninvited, nothing is certain anymore."
Campus Drivers adds to Prime Video's growing catalogue of young adult entertainment, joining series such as Maxton Hall, Off Campus, Sterling Point, as well as the film You+Me – Against the World. The upcoming series is created by Thomas Boulle, as well as being written by directed by Tom Goris and Vianney Lebasque based on Quill's literature. Produced by Campus Entertainment, it consists of six episodes.
Going against the streamer's recent weekly rollout practice, all the episodes of the upcoming series will become available on the streaming platform on November 06 in France as well as more than 240 nations and territories across the world.
