Two months after it released in theatres, Nivedhithaa Sathish-starrer Oh Butterfly is all set for its OTT premiere. Directed by debutant Vijay Ranganathan, the mystery thriller also stars Lakshmipriyaa Chandramouli, Nassar, Ciby Chandran, Attul, and Geetha Kailasam in key roles.
The film follows Nivedhithaa Sathish and Attul, a married couple who have been facing issues in their relationship. To mend their lives, they plan a getaway to the hills to restart the spark in their lives. However, nothing goes as planned, as tensions only increase between the duo. With the arrival of Ciby Chandran, her former boyfriend, the story begins to get into dangerous zones, and cracks in everyone's lives associated with them start widening.
Upon release in March, the film received positive reviews.
An excerpt from our CE review of the film reads, "Oh Butterfly is less interested in the spectacle of its twists than in the quiet weight of the choices that lead to them. Through Lakshmipriyaa Chandramouli's Ranjani, Vijay Ranganathan tells us how sometimes we tell ourselves fragile stories to live with our guilt, with our ego allowing us to believe that we indeed have the ability to affect something. It may circle its ideas a little too insistently at times, but when the dust settles, the film leaves behind a lingering thought."
On the technical team, the film has music by Vaisakh Somanath, cinematography by Vedaraman Sankaran and editing by Bhuvanesh Manivannan.
Oh Butterfly will begin streaming on Sun NXT OTT platform from May 8.
