Sathish and Suresh Ravi's latest comedy drama Mustafa Mustafa has arrived on OTT after completing its theatrical run in March. Released on February 27, the film was helmed by Praveen Saravanan in his directorial debut and has now premiered on Prime Video.
The film stars Monica Chinnakotla and Maanasa Choudhary as female leads. Aishwarya Dutta, Karunakaran, Pugazh, Pavel Navageethan, VJ Parvathy Saran, Java Sundaresan, and VJ Maheswari also play crucial roles.
Mustafa Mustafa revolves around Karthik (Sathish), a TV anchor whose life turns chaotic when an embarrassing, possibly doctored, video of him surfaces online just before his wedding. He teams up with his friend Vasu (Suresh Ravi) and a hacker (Chitti) to stop the viral video, leading to comedic mishaps.
Our CE review of Mustafa Mustafa read, "While the film has a 'trendy and youthful' colour palette and its characters throw 'trending' lines, it has a mindset and sensibilities stuck decades ago. If the writer/director feels romanticisation or glorification of these habits would be seen as a sign of encouragement, they just need to understand that it works just the same for both genders."
The film featured a technical team comprising music composer MS Jones Rupert, cinematographer KS Vishnushri, editor Dinesh Ponraj, art director S Madan Kumar, and dance choreographer Azar.
