On Dileep’s birthday on Tuesday, the makers of his upcoming film Henok unveiled its first look, introducing the veteran actor as Dr Leo Thomas. The poster features Dileep wearing a surgical mask and staring intently while seemingly holding a skeleton’s face. Billed as a whodunnit mystery thriller, it is helmed by Ullas Krishna, who made his directorial debut with the 2024 fantasy thriller Pushpaka Vimanam.
Dileep plays a forensic surgeon in Henok, which began shooting in Alappuzha earlier this month. The film, jointly scripted by Ullas and Robin, carries the tagline ‘The Man in the Mist’. As per the makers, the story revolves around an investigation into a mysterious incident, with each clue leading to further questions, exploring questions of justice through the journey of its protagonist.
Apart from Dileep, its ensemble cast also features Johnny Antony, Emil George, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Grace Antony, Manoj K U, Sudhi Kopa, Prarthana Sandeep, Sruthy Jayan, Shaju Sreedhar, Raghunath Paleri, Nisthar Sait, Pramod Veliyanad, Sohan Seenulal, Vinod Kedamangalam and Asha Madathil Sreekanth in prominent roles.
Henok has Shaji Kumar wielding the camera, with Shafeeque V B handling the cuts and Mujeeb Majeed composing the music. Produced by M Star Entertainments, the film will be distributed by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films. The two banners previously collaborated on Varane Avashyamund and Kurup, both starring Dulquer in the lead.
Meanwhile, Dileep will next be seen in debutant Jagan Shaji Kailas’ thriller Neekkam, which is awaiting a release date
