The makers of Neekkam, the upcoming Malayalam thriller starring Dileep, have unveiled the film’s second look. The new poster features Dileep in an older getup, seated at a bus stop and reading a book.
Directed by debutant Jagan Shaji Kailas, son of veteran filmmaker Shaji Kailas, the project was initially announced under the tentative title D 152. The film was officially titled Neekkam in April, when the makers also released its first-look poster, which featured Dileep standing in the rain with an umbrella and carried the tagline ‘Beyond Destiny’.
Written by Vibin Balachandran, Neekkam is described by the makers as a gripping thriller that employs a unique narrative style. Veena Nandakumar, who previously shared screen space with Dileep in Voice of Sathyanathan, plays the female lead. The supporting cast includes Binu Pappu, Siddique, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Sirajudheen Nazar, Sudheer Sukumaran and Remya Suresh. Ajay David Kachappilly is the cinematographer, while Sooraj ES handles the editing and Mujeeb Majeed is the music director.
Neekkam is produced by Sandip Senan and Alex E Kurian under the banners of Urvassi Theatres and Kaka Stories, respectively. Sangeeth Senan and Nimitha Francis serve as co-producers.
