The triumphant performance of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) and its chief, actor Vijay, has been the biggest talking point since the announcement of the Tamil Nadu Election results on May 04, Monday. Just like his co-stars, contemporaries, and seniors in Tamil cinema, those in Malayalam cinema also congratulated the superstar and the CM candidate.

Actor Mohanlal, who starred with Vijay in Jilla, wrote, "The people have chosen you; their trust is a true honour. I am sure you will wear it with pride and purpose as you embark on this new journey of service. My best wishes to you and your team." He expressed his wish that the new government can "accomplish many things for the progress and well-being of our land."

On the other hand, Mammootty described TVK's victory as 'remarkable' while he congratulated the party. "Wishing you strength and vision as you step forward to lead the state," the superstar wrote, referring to Vijay. The actor also added, "Heartfelt congratulations to all the candidates who won in the Kerala Legislative Assembly election.. Let us work together with unity for our land."
