The organisers of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne announce that actor Dulquer Salmaan will be honoured for his cinematic journey. The upcoming festival is set to commence on August 13 and will end on August 23.

The actor who began his journey with the Malayalam flick, Second Show (2012) found widespread fame with Ustad Hotel (2012), and continued to make films in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. His last full-fledged Malayalam appearance was in King of Kotha (2023).

Dulquer has also been nominated for Best Performance (Male) for his work on Kaantha (2025). As the superstar TKM, the film followed the murder of an actress in the dead of the night at a studio, which prompts an investigation, which subsequently spills the secrets of everyone involved.

In Malayalam, he last made a cameo appearance in Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra (2025), where he played an Odiyan. He is set to appear in I'm Game (2026).
