Filmmaker Vipin Das, best known for helming Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Guruvayoorambala Nadayil, has announced a new production venture under his WBTS Productions banner, with long-time associate Rohit GR set to make his directorial debut. The announcement was made through Vipin's social media handles, where he shared a photograph of Rohit holding an umbrella and expressed his excitement about introducing another new talent to the Malayalam film industry. While further details regarding the project, including its cast and genre, have not yet been disclosed, the film marks the latest addition to Vipin's continuing efforts to nurture emerging filmmakers. Over the years, the director-writer has consistently used his production ventures as a platform for introducing fresh talent both in front of and behind the camera. The announcement also comes months after Vipin announced Vaazha 3: Biopic of a Billion Girls, the third instalment in the popular Vaazha franchise, scripted by Vipin. Unlike its predecessors, the upcoming film will shift its focus to female protagonists and is set to be directed by Viswan Sreejith, another member of Vipin's core assistant team. However, Vaazha 3 remains in the scripting and pre-production stage, with no update yet on when the film will go on floors.
Meanwhile, Vipin is currently busy with his next directorial Santhosh Trophy, starring Vaazha actor Joemon Jyothir in the lead. The film was originally conceived with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead, but the project later underwent significant changes, with Joemon eventually stepping into the central role.
