Actor Bhavana, who stars in the upcoming film Anomie, recently reflected on her cinematic journey. Speaking to anchor Dhanya Varma, the actor said that she thought about quitting cinema multiple times in her career. "There is no consistency for us in cinema," she said, referring to how actors generally see major peaks and troughs as part and parcel of a long cinematic journey. "Sometimes, the number of our films can come down. Other times, we get major hits. There is no assurance in movies," the actor said in reference to the challenges that professionals like her face in a highly competitive world.
Bhavana said that she does not have any sense of assurance about what her next film would be, even if Anomie becomes a major hit and even though she is doing a film in Kannada and another one in Malayalam. "That is the way with cinema," she said, referring to the uncertain world.
It has been around 24 years since the actor's debut. For the uninitiated, she made her first appearance as a lead actor in a film titled Nammal, directed by Kamal.
Coming back to Anomie, the film from writer-director Riyas Marath that also stars Rahman is set to hit theatres on February 06.
